Your role in our team
• As part of the bid development team, you will aid all aspects of the bid process including, but not limited to the following:
• Create concepts and manifests within the scope of customer requirements as outlined in their RFP within the timeframe given by our customers.
• Support bid development process from receipt of RFP to submission of proposal, including aiding the creation of RFQ packages for vendors and writing technical SOW for proposal.
• Demonstrate a strong expertise in material handling system design, equipment technology, and operational processes.
• Head up clients’ requests for the material handling system(s) using their data or working through their requirements to create system solutions solving client issues, enhancing processing efficiency, and supporting end-user requirements.
• Provide technical expertise during the sales phase showcasing Körber’s capability to develop industry-leading solutions and build trust with clients.
• Support multiple client projects with a range of $100K - $250M
• Conduct external meetings with clients as required.
• Conduct internal meetings with clients as required.
• Create / Utilize / Explain a material Flow Calculator that develops the Basis of Design (BOD)
• Be a subject matter expert on various types of material handling equipment in the market to ensure the best possible solution.
• Work with the client to create a weighted Selection Criteria Matrix driving optimal solution selections for end users and Körber.
• Create Process Flow Diagrams
• Create Material Flow Diagrams
• Ensure mechanical system designs align with electrical control capabilities supporting solution requirements.
• Create Basis of Design
• Create a Description of Operation
• Provide support for system and product simulation and emulation testing.
• Work with the assigned execution team and operations to hand off the project successfully.
Your profile
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
• You have a minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Knowledge and Responsibilities.
• You are proficient in automation layout and design with AutoCAD 2D and Navisworks.
• You have a working knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and drafting.
• You have a basic understanding of automation controls and an interest in cross-discipline responsibilities.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You have strong ability to document technical decisions with illustrations and clear verbal explanations.
• You have excellent analytical skills.
• You always strive for high-quality output to exceed your customers’ expectations.
