Description/Job SummaryRemote position - anywhere U.S.A.DescriptionThe National Account Manager is responsible for the management of Grocery/Retail sales and marketing activities for a select customer base to achieve required growth and meet sales objectives.Responsibilities include selling to customers, directing brokers, strategic planning, and annual budgeting.Major Areas of AccountabilityConduct sales activities with existing customers and prospect accounts to maintain relationships and increase salesActively develop prospects and targets, prioritize opportunities and develop strategic supply proposals to gain incremental businessCollect market intelligence and customer decision criteria to recommend effective sales proposalsSkillfully present compelling supply package presentations resulting in awarded businessDevelop annual sales budget & strategy and execute the plan accordinglyReview sales progress regularly against goals and re-align efforts to ensure targets are being successfully achievedBecome proficient with the Grocery/Retail product bundleInteract and coordinate with other functional departments in order to provide customer satisfactionCoordinate with marketing personnel to develop sales promotion plans for target productsAttend sales trade shows to promote products and develop business opportunitiesPotentially coordinate the hiring and training of BrokersHandle special projects assigned by the business unitQualificationsPrevious Related Experience RequiredAt least 8 years of sales and business development experience with a proven track record of positive customer relationships and salesgrowth. Other experience in business management and marketing is a benefit.Technical Skills Required to Perform This JobProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product innovation, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales controls systems.Customer Service - knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
