The Department of Human Resources Information Technology team is seeking a talented Technical Senior Business Analyst who would play a pivotal role in our organization’s strategic initiatives by leveraging your advanced analytical skills and business acumen. Your main role, but not limited to, involves the management and supervision of the current SQL server environment, SharePoint sites and collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into effective solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities:
• Analyze existing business processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency enhancements, and opportunities for automation.
• Provide daily operational support, troubleshoot, and resolve production application, integration, and systemwide problems,
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of the project’s goals and objectives.
• Coordinate with city vendors, contractors, and other city departments on current and future projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts or IT staff, sharing best practices and helping them develop their skills.
• Proficient in SQL language programming and query optimization.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Power BI.
• Be able to develop interactive reports and dashboards using PowerBI’s visualizations and tools.
• Ensure that visualizations are clear, concise, and aligned with the goals of the analysis.
• Implement appropriate data security measures to ensure that sensitive information is protected within Power BI.
• Integrate Power BI with other tools and services, such as Excel, SQL Server, etc… to enhance data analysis capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint.
• Can assist end-users with basic troubleshooting, answering questions, and providing guidance on using SharePoint effectively.
• Can create and configure SharePoint sites and subsites to facilitate collaboration and content sharing among teams and other city departments.
• Can design and implement workflows to automate business processes.
• Provide related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
