What you’ll be doing:
This is a key role responsible for executing a comprehensive data strategy to drive business objectives. This role involves partnering with key business stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Product and Program management, Data Engineering, Application Engineering to understand their data needs and strategic objectives.
You will play a critical role in proactively analyzing business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and pursue them. Define key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the data strategy. Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders, understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
What you bring to the table:
• Ability to analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and pursue them to deliver the results.
• Ability to collaborate with executives, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and strategic objectives.
• Strong experience in defining key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the data strategy.
• Strong experience with analyzing data trends, generating reports, and providing insights to support business decisions.
• Able to interact and collaborate with technical as well as non-technical stakeholders, and craft well-structured business requirements and translate them to technical requirements.
• Business Line Partnering: Serve as the primary liaison to business stakeholders, acting as their voice to the data engineering teams.
• Strong SQL skills with to be able to navigate your way through our data effortlessly.
• Responsible Develop and maintain system documentation, including functional specifications and user manuals.
• Experience with at least one BI tool (e.g. PowerBI)
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
• 10 plus years of experience in business systems data analysis or a related role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Familiarity with relevant data engineering technologies.
• Should have experience working with large datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL, data exploration and BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with data hygiene, common cleansing techniques, and best practices around these.
• B2B / B2C / Retail backgrounds are helpful.
