Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant is a new role to support our ever-growing Accounting team. This position

supports both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to help us ensure timely and

accurate responses to both vendors and customers.

The ideal candidate will leverage knowledge of the accounts payable and/or accounts receivable

processes, along with great attention to detail, to help establish best practices within our growing

company. Strong communication skills are critical. Understanding of and experience with cash

application, expense reimbursement and automated payment tools, is a plus

Role and Responsibilities:
• Manage email inboxes for both accounts payable and accounts receivable, responding to
• vendors and clients as appropriate and escalating where needed
• Assist in processing AP invoices into the payment system, coding invoices appropriately,
• routing as needed and monitoring for approvals
• Assist in processing expense reimbursements, training users and ensuring timely submission
• of expense reports
• Assist in managing Company’s corporate credit card program, issuing new cards and ensuring
• adherence to Company policies
• Assist in distribution of customer invoices via established systems and processes.
• Liaise with customer accounts payable teams to ensure process synchronization and
• compliance with customer invoicing practices
• Respond to customer questions regarding invoices
• Prepare and submit customer statements
• Post cash on a timely basis
Requirements:
• Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• General knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Minimum 2-3 years related work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong observation skills and keen attention to detail
• Trustworthy and discreet with regard to sensitive financial data
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to mulit-task
• Ability to follow-up on pending issues
• Ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Requirements:
• Experience in Sage Intacct, Tipalti and Expensify (or similar payment & expense reimbursement systems), is a plus
