Our expanding law firm is looking for an experienced estate planning attorney with 3-5 years of experience in the area of estate planning. We require a highly analytical applicant with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to develop client relationships and help build and promote the organization. You will prepare documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney as our estate planning attorney. This role carries a great deal of responsibility and seeks to eliminate questions regarding how an estate should be managed. New hires will initially receive a base salary in the range of $90,000 - $145,000 commensurate with experience and a flat commission on all legal fees deposited, ensuring that your dedication and efforts are directly reflected in your earnings.

Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
• Discuss plans with clients for distributing clients’ assets
• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Create wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for your clients
• Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
• We are looking for a good listener and a good communicator to build confidence in others about their estate planning choices
• Someone who is patient and empathetic in working with mostly senior clients
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
• Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
A motivating, optimistic and inspirational team player will be considered a top candidate.
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
• Wide range of knowledge regarding drafting estate plans which include wills, living trusts, LLCs, corporations, family limited partnerships and administration of trusts (including A-B trusts)
• Experience with Clio, WealthCounsel and ElderCounsel is a plus
• Highest level of Oral & Written Communication: a recent writing sample required
