With over 25 years experience in the agricultural business First Missouri Terminals, Inc. dba Agri-Trans in Cape Girardeau MO is looking for an experienced Dispatcher/Supervisor to join our growing team!
The job main function would require dispatching several Semi-Trailer Tractors each day. Assist in finding and securing drivers loads.
This is a full time position with benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) plan with match and short term/long term disability insurance.
Compensation will be determined by dispatch/management experience and knowledge of the transportation field.
Requirements:
• Requires at least 2 years experience in a fast paced dispatching position preferably with agriculture background
• Basic Computer skills/knowledge
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
• Ability to multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended hours and weekends.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and day-to-day of the fleet while maintaining compliance with FMCSA and company safety standards
• Maintain and build relationships with both internal and external customers -new and existing
• Communicate with customers, and drivers while maintaining strong working relationships
• Help find and securing drivers loads
• Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Serve as point of contact to answer questions, and solve problems
• Reinforce compliance with safety, fuel / routing, fuel mileage, and customer service, coach drivers as necessary
• Understand and help maintain Driver ELD system
• Help maintain Driver files as necessary
• Plan loads and schedule loading/unload appointments
• Coordinate with maintenance mechanic to schedule equipment maintenance and repairs
• Assist VP of Transportation and Logistics
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/management
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to sit/stand for several hours a day.
• Must be able to use repetitive motions multiple times a day
