As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for growing your own book of business primarily through generating sales leads and promoting Aladdin’s services to new accounts. This position will be responsible for endorsing and selling Aladdin’s services in accordance with established sales policies, procedures, and in pursuit of the Company’s goals and objectives.
Your day-to-day:
• Explain and sell Aladdin’s core services and benefits of transportation factoring to build your book of business
• Effectively identify potential customers (from warm leads, research, networking, cold calls, etc.)
• Call carriers daily in order to develop new business and follow-up on potential business
• Oversee application process and manage the underwriting of new accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with potential and current customers
• Prepare and execute a successful sales plan to help the company meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue expectations
• Work with Account Executives to ensure Account Receivable volumes remain in line with credit limits
• Understand Aladdin’s credit policies and procedures.
• Commission structure is tied directly to YOUR book of business. Write your own paycheck!
What we look for:
• 1-3 years transportation industry related experience preferred
• Experience building a book of business preferred
• Willingness to learn about the transportation and factoring industries
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated individual contributor.
