Senior Services Manager - Automated NDE (Remote Eligible, US)

Job Description Summary

The Senior Services Manager - Automated NDE is part of the GE Hitachi Nuclear Inspection team inspecting nuclear power plants around the world during our customers refueling outages. Our team deploys a variety of manual and robotic inspection techniques to fit our customers dose reduction and schedule goals. The In Service Inspection (ISI) team focuses on inspections outside of the reactor vessel and piping and components critical to safe operation.

Senior Services Manager - Automated NDE provides technical direction and assists the Lead Engineer with oversight of NDE activities on nuclear power plant inspection projects. This technical direction involves communication with customers and supervision of up to 15 contractors and co-workers.

Senior Services Manager - Automated NDE is responsible to support development of processes, techniques, and tooling to meet business needs. This role will primarily focus on filling roles as an automated NDE Data Analyst, Project Level III and/or automated operator. This role involves planning inspection scopes, verifying procedure use and adherence, analyzing automated and manual UT data, and creating UT data reports.

The person in this role will work to prepare inspection techniques, procedures, and inspection schedules prior to nuclear power plant outage inspections. This role involves evaluating and documenting performance issues at inspections and working in the off season to improve the tooling and procedures to correct the issues identified.

The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.

Job Description

Responsibilities include but not limited too:
• Responsible to support planning of GEH project schedule and delivery and provide task leadership, technical direction, work coordination and supervision of work teams composed of GEH and contingent worker personnel
• Establish appropriate relationships and interact effectively with senior level customer and supplier management on commercial, technical & compliance issues and work within an integrated services team
• Support business activities including inspection tooling and technique development, training, proposal development, and staffing.
• Perform duties and complete assignments while maintaining GEH standards for integrity, safety and quality
• Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma / GED
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in automated NDE as a Data Analyst
• ASNT UT Level III Certification
• Minimum of 6 years of PWR (pressurized water reactors) specific experience in automated NDE.

Eligibility Requirements
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% to domestically and internationally plant sites
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day
• Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical
• Ability to pass Fitness for Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access
• Ability to work under high stress conditions
• Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated areas
• Ability and willingness to work 12 hrs./day and 7 days/week when needed for project delivery
• The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.

Desired Characteristics
• 10 years Nuclear Industry experience.
• Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code sections III, V, VIII and XI
• PDI qualifications for RPV and/or Piping procedures
• Experience performing automated/encoded inspections at BWR and PWR plants
• Experience performing PWR piping inspections
• Demonstrated leadership of field teams working at customer sites
• Familiarity with RFF activities, primarily NDE automated inspections

The base pay range for this position is $104,000 to $155,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Tuesday August 20th

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
