Our client, a leading global consultancy, are currently looking for a C and C++ System Embedded Engineer to join for an initial 6-month contract based in Berkshire, on a hybrid basis.
ROLE: C AND C++ SYSTEM EMBEDDED ENGINEER
LOCATION: BERKSHIRE (ONCE PER WEEK IN OFFICE INITIALLY, THEN FLEXIBLE)
RATE: £400 A DAY INSIDE IR35
LENGTH: 6 MONTHS WITH SCOPE TO EXTEND
Key responsibilities:
• Prepare low level Technical Solution Design
• Pure hands-on development, capable of doing the embedded things
• Mostly lower-level system programming for custom linux kernel development
Key skills and knowledge:
• Must have experience with systems programming and Linux kernel development
• Commercial experience with custom Linux distribution build tools such as Bitbake or Buildroot.
• Commercial experience with Git or other DVCS
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Experience with other systems programming languages such as Rust and Go
• Experience with embedded microcontroller programming
