Description
Plan, lead, coordinate, and conduct one or more musical ensembles. Plan for the needs of
ensembles and cantors, providing them with direction and training. Offer voice training to ensemble
members, cantors, and clergy. Assist the Pastor in planning, accompanying, and leading Catholic
liturgical services in the parish. Select music. Teach music to the assembly. Supervise volunteer
musicians/cantors. Participate with committees to implement the parish’s Catholic vision of worship.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Music Arts, Choral Direction, or related discipline and two years of
related experience. Must have experience with Roman Catholic liturgy, including Gregorian Chant.
Must have experience with sight reading music and improvisation. Must have experience with playing
the organ and piano.
