Senior Data ScientistHybrid 3x onsite in Los Angeles, CA$150K - $175K + benefitsWe are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team located in Los Angeles, CA, United States. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the initiation, development, and deployment of advanced data science projects, focusing particularly on pricing and demand forecasting.
Your work will span a diverse range of responsibilities, from overseeing the maintenance and enhancement of dynamic pricing models to collaborating with stakeholders to define development roadmaps and project priorities.Responsibilities: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of dynamic pricing models. Collaborate closely with data analysts to monitor the performance of data science deliverables.
Define and implement best practices throughout the data science project lifecycle. Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to understand business needs and translate these into actionable data science objectives. Assist in the strategic prioritization of the data science development pipeline.
Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and design A/B testing frameworks to validate model effectiveness. Use Python and machine learning packages to craft and implement effective data science solutions. Utilize big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, and Azure Databricks.
Solve complex problems independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Design and implement data engineering solutions with a focus on data models and data architecture.RequirementsMust have pricing and demand forecasting experience for Travel, Hospitality, or Ecommerce industriesMaster's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Economics, or mathematics strongly preferredProficiency with Python for statistical analysis and data manipulationExtensive experience in Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop for big data processing and analyticsKnowledge of cloud technologies including AWS and Azure for deploying data science solutionsFamiliarity with Azure ML and Azure Databricks for machine learning model development and deploymentStrong understanding and hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms and their implementationExperience with database management and data structuresProficiency in API development for data extraction and automationStrong analytical skills to interpret complex data and convert insights into actionable stepsAbility to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders of varying technical levelsExperience in data visualization and reporting tools for presenting data insights effectivelyA commitment to continuous professional development in the field of data science, machine learning, and related areas.
