Extrusion Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Extrusion Manager to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in plastics manufacturing, specifically in extrusion processes. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Extrusion Manager will be responsible for overseeing our extrusion department, ensuring the efficient operation of our extrusion lines and leading a team of dedicated professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the extrusion department, including overseeing day-to-day operations, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards, implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of process technicians and operators, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, quality control, and production planning, to troubleshoot issues, drive process improvements, and meet production targets.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of department personnel, ensuring proficiency in extrusion processes and equipment operation.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
• Drive initiatives to improve safety, reduce waste, and enhance productivity, leveraging lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Support new product development and process improvement projects, collaborating with engineering and R&D teams as needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, ensuring that products meet quality specifications and are delivered on time.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in plastics manufacturing, with a focus on extrusion processes.
• Strong technical knowledge of blown and cast film extrusion, with experience managing multiple extrusion lines.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and achieving production targets.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with 24/7 manufacturing operations preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
