About the Role

Applicants living in the Kansas City Metro area will be expected to work in a hybrid setting.

SelectQuote’s marketing team needs an SEO Manager. The SEO Manager will work in coordination with the SVP, Digital Marketing, as well as members of other departments, to generate and achieve SEO performance goals. This position will be responsible for SEO initiatives across all divisions of SelectQuote, one of the country’s preeminent national insurance brokerages.

The SEO Manager is responsible for the execution of organic search deliverables, ongoing optimizations and performance monitoring, weekly reporting, and long-term website strategy as it relates to SEO. SelectQuote is looking for candidates with an analytical mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, and an appetite for research and writing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update tracking, monitoring, and reporting tools
• Routinely conduct keyword research, competitive research, and market research
• Evaluate website properties for on-page and off-page optimizations
• Generate SEO recommendations then test and execute against them
• Weekly reporting on primary, secondary, and contextually relevant KPIs
• Develop meaningful insights around market trends and business performance
• Evaluate channel economics and propose changes to current optimization strategies
• Work with the SVP, Digital Marketing to provide impact analyses of lead generation, cost, revenue and contribution margin
• Work with the SVP, Digital Marketing to create and manage monthly reporting for organic search efforts and performance across business units
• Participate as a thought-leader by monitoring, evaluating, and elevating trends or changes within SEO best practices, search results pages, and search algorithms.
• Collaborate with others on the marketing team to ensure all marketing initiatives and messaging are consistent and aligned with company and division goals

• Familiar with digital marketing, digital channels, and online marketing metrics

• Previous experience with copywriting, content marketing, and/or content strategy preferred

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 6-8 years’ SEO experience required
• Working knowledge of search engine criteria and algorithm updates
• Experience developing, managing, and measuring SEO campaigns for medium-to-large brands
• Skilled with relevant industry software, including SEMRush, Microsoft Office, Google’s G Suite, and a myriad of SEO and reporting tools
• Expertise in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console preferred
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript coding languages or an aptitude to become proficient quickly with training

Physical Requirements:
• Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
