DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AGRI INSTRUCTOR:
Instruct students in classroom and individualized, online and laboratory
setting, develop and arrange field trips and guest lectures.\
Evaluate student performance by grading classroom work, observing
laboratory skills.\
Maintain classroom records, including attendance records, progress
reports, and completer follow-ups.\
Develop or revise vocational education curriculum by researching
educational and professional material, develop course outline and
objectives, and prepare lesson plans.\
Instruct students in the importance of accuracy, neatness, efficiency,
resourcefulness, good work habits and in obtaining and maintaining
employment.\
Keep abreast of job vacancies, employment trends, and participate in
student recruitment.\
Develop and maintain relationships with the business community to ensure
job training goals, objectives, and curriculum align with current
business standards and practices.\
Develop partnerships with employers for student internship and paid
apprenticeship opportunities.\
Instruct students in subject areas, maintenance, and the safe operation
of tools and equipment, codes or regulations related to subject being
taught.\
Attend various job fairs, workshops, and conferences.\
Perform other duties as assigned.\
Limited travel may be required periodically.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS OF AGRI INSTRUCTOR:
Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors,
co-workers, students, and the public.\
Ability to develop and maintain employer partnerships for internships
and paid apprenticeships.\
Knowledge of the functions, operations, and/or maintenance of the
various equipment used in the program taught.\
Knowledge of basic welding tools, Agri principles and basic education
principles.\
Knowledge of record keeping procedures.\
Ability to collect and organize data and information.\
Knowledge of Zoom, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\
Ability to establish and maintain appropriate level of authority while
creating an atmosphere of support and confidence for students.\
Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills.\
Good people skills and sound judgment.\
Ability to communicate with high school students, young adults, and
older students with disabilities effectively.\
Ability to evaluate student performance and measure progress.\
Ability to develop or revise vocational education curriculum.\
Ability to prepare lesson plans and instructional aides.\
Ability to make written and oral presentations.\
Familiar with any/all accreditation standards for their programs.
Position will be based in Hot Springs, AR
