Position: Full-Time Contract Special Education Teacher
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position in Albemarle, North Carolina. This is a school-based role offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives within a supportive and dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with varying disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support students' educational goals.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of students' performance and progress.
• Advocate for students’ needs and work with families to ensure a supportive educational experience.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans and strategies.
• Support students in the classroom and during transitions between activities or settings.
Requirements:
• Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education or related field.
• Proven experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create and maintain a positive learning environment.
