Sr Financial Analyst, Finance - Career Portal (dayforcehcm.com)
Principal Responsibilities:
• Financial Planning and Analysis: work closely with Finance, Controllers, Sales and Risk on forecasting, budgeting and long-term strategic planning
• Strategic Finance: develop valuation and partnership financial models for various corporate development opportunities (Internal M&A, portfolio acquisition, portfolio sales)
• Capital Markets and Syndication: financial analysis (including process automation and optimization) of funding, securitization and syndication strategies
• Automation: work closely with IT to automate financial reports. Main projects will revolve around loan production, cash flow projections, funding and liquidity, securitization structures, capital and leverage requirements, and expense allocations
• Monthly Reporting: support month end variance analysis
• Quarterly Reporting: support Quarterly Board Deck (financial reporting, storytelling, scenario planning, industry analysis and go-forward strategy)
• Portfolio Pricing: working closely with Lead Financial Analyst on loan pricing for new originations
Required Qualifications:
• B.A. in a quantitative field, preferred but not required
• Minimum of two (2) years experience
• Programming skills highly preferred (VBA, Python, R)
• Comfortable working directly with business unit leaders with minimal supervision
• Proven track record of intellectual curiosity
• Understanding of corporate finance fundamentals as it relates to financial institutions, specifically lending and capital markets
• Ability to navigate income statements, balance sheets and cash flows principles
• Familiarity with loan and lease accounting, preferred but not required
• High level understanding of lending economics and the risks associated with it
