The AZ Licensed Fiduciary performs a wide variety of activities and services to administer the firm’s appointments management of affairs for vulnerable adults, administering Estates, and administering Trusts for both living and deceased individuals. Service capacities include roles such as Agent as Power of Attorney, Guardian, Conservator, Personal Representative and/or Trustee, and ancillary related appointments such as oversight of bookkeeping and care management assignments. The fiduciary is responsible for managing complex caseloads with sensitivity and confidentiality. Caseloads include

Full time position. Compensation based on experience, education, and demonstration of skills. Competitive benefits including 401k, stipend, mileage reimbursement.

Licensure required. Priority consideration to license holders, then to qualified applicants with an agreement to seek licensure within 18 months of hire. Pre-licensed Fiduciaries work under the supervision of the principal, progressively gaining knowledge and expertise, as well as assuming increased responsibilities during the pre-licensing period and under the necessary supervision is to ensure work quality and compliance with mandatory requirements, as well as to foster professional development so that the pre-licensed Fiduciary may meet eligibility requirements for licensure. ** Successful applicants not currently holding an Arizona Fiduciary License (Trainee) will be compensated at a reduced salary rate with an increase to be awarded once licensure has been successfully obtained.**

Minimum education and/or experience: Fiduciary license in good standing with the Arizona Supreme Court; or Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and guardian certification or education and specifically relevant work experience, or AZ Juris Doctorate; either or combination of these may substitute for the Fiduciary License requirement. Specifically relevant work experience may be in the administration of trust, decedent estates, guardianship or conservatorship under the supervision of either a licensed fiduciary; bank trust or trust company officer; or a licensed attorney emphasizing in the area of probate, trust, elder, mental health, or disability law.

Applicant must meet the eligibility requirements pursuant to the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration (ACJA § 7-202) and A.R.S. § 14-5651; obtain Arizona Fiduciary License within 12 months of hire; and, thereafter, must maintain that license in good standing.

Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, work experience and excellent references may be considered. Must also have clean driving record and pass background check.

Preferred training, certifications and/or other special requirements: National Certified Guardian with the Center for Guardianship Certification. CTFA – Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor, EA or CPA, Paralegal with probate experience

Preferred skills/experience:

· Professional work experience with administration of guardianships, conservatorships, decedent estates, trusts, agency under Power of Attorney, and public benefits

· Professional work experience with Care Management for vulnerable adults, including those with Dementia or mental health issues

· Professional work experience with bookkeeping, financial management, and tax management on behalf of clients

· Professional experience with securing appropriate benefits and insurance overage

· Professional correspondence, telephone etiquette, and software experience and/or readiness

· Professional work experience involving Court filings and Accountings

· Professional work experience with end-of-life management, care and coordination

· Investigating, inventorying, documenting, marshaling, securing, and valuing assets

· Coordination of services for preservation and protection of assets

· Coordination of sale of assets, including real property

· Analysis of assets, income & expenses for successful budgeting and retaining sustainability

· Coordination with counsel for any legal action, as well as testifying when necessary

· Advocacy and placement

· Strong communication skills, including conflict resolution.

· Quickbooks, MS Office Suite, LEAP Case Management software

Essential Job Tasks:

· Document interactions and complete all action and reports necessary to maintain compliance with law, rules, codes, orders and company policies for fulfillment of statutory Fiduciary responsibilities

· Coordinates, monitors and oversees the implementation of cases, treatments, residential arrangements, and continuing care plans for wards

· Meet with wards, professionals and providers to ensure ward’s needs are met

· Administer Estates for protected and deceased individuals

· Make efforts to preserve financial assets, personal, real and business property

· Perform investigation and/or research where necessary to ensure informed decision-m
