Machine Operator - QMJSSFVSTFEN

Join our team in Mississauga, ON as a Machine Operator and play a vital role in producing high-quality finished products in a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible for operating equipment using PLC systems in an industrial setting.

Position: Machine Operator

Shift: Straight day shifts (6 AM to 6 PM) with rotating schedules:

Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Salary: $22.63/hour

Location: Mississauga, ON

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Starting and maintaining line operation, and properly shutting down the line following complete safety protocols

Changing dates and material according to shop order requirements

Operating the IPC interface and/or on-line labelers

Removing jams and troubleshooting equipment to determine the cause of problems and resolving them if possible

Performing cleaning procedures and general maintenance, monitoring and alerting appropriate personnel for required maintenance

Reporting food safety/quality problems to personnel with authority

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

2+ years of experience working as a Machine Operator/Support using PLC equipment in an industrial setting

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Willingness to learn and develop Manufacturing Best Practices

Ability to work flexible hours (overtime and periodic weekends required)

Ability to handle conflicts and provide resolutions

Understanding of right first time quality

Initiative, ability to take directions and execute plans efficiently

Technical aptitude (technical background is an asset)

Demonstration of safe work habits and excellent work ethics

Ability to work well independently and as a team member

Knowledge of SOPs - cleaning, start up, safety, operation, CQP

Must be fully vaccinated with 1st & 2nd shot
