Description:Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business is seeking an Senior Operations Engineer to join the team. This position will support the production operations team at Santa Barbara Focalplane.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be managing and executing capital acquisition projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing industrial engineering support through capacity modeling, standards development, factory performance measurement and visualization, and improvement projects. This position also includes Industrial Engineering projects such as simulation modeling, factory layouts, facility expansion, MES development, Lean Six Sigma, and facilitating continuous improvement activities. This position will report directly to the site Operations Engineering Lead.

For a level 3, we typically look for a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering disciplines.
• Experience with discrete event simulation modeling, machine and labor capacity analysis, or continuous improvement projects.
• Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Strong proficiency with discrete event simulation modeling such as Simio (preferred), Process Simulator, or AnyLogic.
• Strong proficiency with capacity modeling and analysis such as equipment/machine utilization, tool rate analysis, max rate analysis, or throughput improvement.
• Strong proficiency with continuous improvement initiatives such as cost reduction, HPU savings, schedule improvement, or quality/yield improvement using tools such as kaizen, value stream mapping, PFMEA, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams.
• Trained in Lean Six Sigma tools and practices, and experience using statistical analysis.
• Experience with SAP and Apriso.
• Experience with SAP HANA, MS SQL, MySQL, or related database systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Python, JIRA, or Confluence.
• Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with data, data reporting, and data visualizations.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $74,700 - $143,100 .
