In this role, you will:

-Build new data pipelines and optimize data flows using the Azure cloud stack.

-Support Business Analysts and Data Architects with discovery and best practices.

- Collaborate with various business units to understand their data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork, fostering strong relationships within the data team and beyond.
- Play a pivotal role in Asda's digital and data transformation journey, leveraging analytics to shape our future.
Let's find out about you

-Solid grasp of Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory for efficient data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics workflows.

-Previous experience of programming preferably using PySpark and SparkSQL.

-Experience of building, deploying, sharing, and maintaining enterprise-grade data solutions with Databricks.

-Any experience building real-time data pipelines using Event-hub, storage queues and Azure stream analysis is advantageous.

-Good analytical skills related to working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured datasets.

-Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
