Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies to provide advice and guidance to clients on coverage issues.
• Handle complex insurance coverage disputes, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve claims on behalf of clients.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda on various insurance coverage topics.
• Stay abreast of developments in insurance law and advise clients on potential impacts.
• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop strategies for litigation and dispute resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, as well as complying with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships while ensuring confidentiality and high ethical standards.
Qualifications
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or a related field.
• Proven experience in handling insurance coverage disputes and litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex insurance policies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
