Symposia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager with a strong background as a Sales Account Executive. As a Sales Manager at Symposia, you will leverage your proven sales experience and leadership skills to build, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing sales territories and quotas, and driving overall sales growth.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard top-performing sales account executives.
• Coach and mentor sales representatives to achieve and exceed individual and team sales quotas.
• Manage and develop sales territories and customer accounts.
• Conduct regular sales performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
• Analyze sales data and reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales environment.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales leadership role.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and achieving ambitious goals.
• Strong understanding of the sales cycle and best practices.
• Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
• Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Experience with CRM software a plus (Hubspot, Aloware, etc.)
• Proven experience as a Sales Account Executive highly desirable.
12-Month Results:
Sales Strategy Development and Execution
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy within the first 60 days.
• Achieve a 10% increase in overall sales revenue by the end of the 12-month period compared to the previous year’s performance.
• Ensure that 100% of sales targets are met in at least 8 out of 12 months.
• Create a clear, actionable sales plan that aligns with company objectives and integrates feedback from team members.
• Develop a reputation for strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving among the sales team and senior management.
Recruitment and Onboarding
• Achieve a 70% or higher retention rate for new hires after the first 6 months.
• Build a strong team culture and demonstrate effective onboarding processes that are well-received by new hires.
• Establish a positive, motivating environment that enhances team cohesion and performance.
Team Coaching and Mentoring
• Increase individual sales representatives' average performance by 15% in terms of meeting or exceeding quotas.
• Conduct at least one-on-one performance reviews with each team member on a weekly basis.
• Foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment where team members feel valued and empowered.
• Receive positive feedback from team members regarding leadership and mentoring skills.
Sales Performance Management
• Achieve a team sales target of $1,000,000 in monthly cash collections for at least 8 out of 12 months.
• Maintain a team show-up rate of 80% or higher throughout the year.
• Achieve a team close rate of 35% or more in at least 8 out of 12 months.
• Develop effective methods for tracking and improving team performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Cultivate a results-oriented atmosphere that drives the team to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
Sales Data Analysis and Improvement
• Conduct monthly analysis of sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Implement at least 3 data-driven strategies or process improvements based on analysis within the first 6 months.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of sales metrics and their impact on business performance.
• Be recognized for using data insights to drive strategic decisions and enhance team effectiveness.
Industry and Competitor Awareness
• Present bi-monthly updates to the senior management team on industry trends and competitor activities.
• Implement at least 2 competitive strategies or adjustments based on industry insights within the first 12 months.
• Establish yourself as a thought leader on industry developments and competitive positioning.
• Show initiative in staying informed about market changes and integrating this knowledge into sales strategies.
