SUMMARY:
The Manager of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) will support the entire M&A deal lifecycle from deal origination to deal execution to post-acquisition integration. This role will be a key resource in M&A strategy and execution and will collaborate closely with executive management and external advisors, as well as have exposure to most internal organizations along the deal lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with Business Development and Artists & Repertoire teams to identify and evaluate acquisition and investment opportunities.
• Manage due diligence activities with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams.
• Engage in financial analyses of target companies and build valuation models.
• Manage and coordinate various M&A processes to provide reporting, status updates and action items for the broader M&A team.
• Support M&A strategy with analyses of market potential, customer needs, strategic and commercial fit, and financial attractiveness.
• Collaborate with various departments, organizations and teams to troubleshoot and identify solutions.
• Guide crossfunctional team members as it relates to M&A activities.
• Manage the post-acquisition integration and post-deal management processes by coordinating various team members across the organization to ensure successful onboarding and integration of acquired business or assets.
• Ensure the proper hand off to departments / teams to operationalize acquisitions.
• Work closely with Finance & Accounting, specifically sub-departments of FP&A and Corporate Finance to build financing analyses and cash-flow forecasts related to the M&A programme.
• Assist with the financing and deal approval process by preparing materials, extracting data andbuilding financial models.
• Assist and support financial reporting, performed primarily by Finance & Accounting, for acquired companies and assets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, preferably within the music, media, or entertainment industry.
• Previous experience building detailed financial / valuation / M&A models
• Previous experience across the M&A and investment lifecycle from deal origination to deal execution and documentation, to post-acquisition integration and management
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills;
• Strong and developed written & verbal presentation, communication, inter-personal and time and project management skills;
• Ability to gain credibility and trust with senior leaders and decision-makers;
• Solutions and results oriented
• Ability to creatively & innovatively solve problems;
• CFA, CPA, MBA/MFin preferred
PAY SCALE:
• $85,000 - $100,000/annually
