Smartphone Application connecting API integrated to POS system of vendor

Overall idea: smartphone app that stores electronic receipts

Transfer receipt from vendor’s computer to user’s mobile device

User will have a smartphone app and then be able to implement a wallet feature containing our “card” which they can tap to receive their receipt in-app.

The application: contain a login by email, then they will have a simple dashboard of their stored receipts in icon format and simply have the date beneath, display receipts in chronological order of when they were uploaded, also allow user to upload their own receipts (ie pictures or pdfs of previous receipts)

The app will resemble this image. It will be very simplistic with a login page and then give access to this page: a user interface that has all their receipts displayed in icon format. However, in our app the icons/receipts will be white in image, and mimic their actual receipt. A date will be displayed beneath each receipt, and they will be ordered chronologically. There will be a delete feature, and possibly a share feature. The top left icon (black circle) will give access to the account (where they can logout/see their profile details) and the top right icon will be the wallet feature, where the user can upload their “receipt card” to their Apple Wallet/Android Wallet. The user can then click onto their desired receipt and see the full view of the receipt.

Nonnegotiables: app must have wallet feature and be able to tap with POS system, receipt must be transferred digitally to be stored in-app, delete feature must be present, receipt must resemble in-store receipt completely, dates should be displayed below each receipt, app will have a login page where account with email will store their receipts, need there to be a feature in app that allows user to integrate their app into their smartphone wallet in order to tap “receipt card,” so they can receive the receipt in-app. The icons must have the ability to interact, in which the user can click onto the icon of their receipt and then the full copy will be displayed (taking up the entire screen), and then they can exit out of the receipt again to see the

receipt return to its icon location and they can interact with any other receipt.

Other potential features: name of vendor above receipt or on icon itself, share feature for receipts, folders to sort and organize, shared folder for accountants/etc. where more than one user can access/upload to folder

For reference: Australian app Slyp. They have a mobile app that eliminates paper receipts by transferring receipt from vendor via SKU data from POS system, and then uploading it into banking app and Slyp app. It is a similar idea, and our app will be similar, but the main principle with their app is that the data is uploaded through banks. The user has their Slyp account connected to their bank cards, and when they make a purchase the SKU data from the POS transfers the receipt to the banking app and Slyp app. We do not want to approach in this way, instead we want to make a tap feature; where they will pay separately and then tap again for their receipt
