Figure Drawing Model (PT)
Salary: $20.00 per hour

The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC
community. We are currently seeking a part-time Figure Drawing
Model in the School of Art. The Figure Drawing Model is
responsible for posing nude for Figure Drawing 1 and Figure Drawing
2 students. These classes rely solely on a model for the work that
students produce. The instructors use a variety of different poses
to challenge students, the model’s capability determines the level
of challenge.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
• Timely arrival to class sessions as arranged by Art Department
faculty and/or staff;
• Takes direction to achieve a variety of different poses as the
instructor chooses and holds poses for periods of time;
• Completes modeling session as required by the faculty
member;
• Maintains ethical and professional behavior;
• Other related duties as assigned.
The work schedule for this position will be based on the needs of
the department and the availability of the applicant.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours completed
• The ability to hold a pose for twenty minutes at a time
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Must follow directions
Preferred Qualifications:
• Nude figure drawing model experience
Additional Notes: Anyone hired as a Figure Drawing Model cannot be
currently enrolled as a student at Mohawk Valley Community
College.
