Focus Search Partners has been engaged on an exciting interim CFO search with a PE backed Healthcare Services organization based in the Boston, MA metro area. The portfolio company's CFO has departed the business and they are hoping to engage an interim to handle the day to day operations and mentor their current VP of Finance to fulfill the seat permanently.
The business is just shy of $100M in annual revenue and has several locations throughout the Northeast Region of the US. Our goal is to identify a consultant who has participated in a PE backed portfolio company as the CFO. This person will need to roll up their sleeves, as well as provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting and finance department.
Our consultant can be based anywhere, but will require travel to Boston to launch the engagement and periodically throughout the 3-6 month duration.
Ideal CFO Background includes:
• Proven PE-backed multi-site/state HC Provider-Based CFO, available immediately and willing to commit to a 3-6 month engagement
• CFOs that have managed PPM businesses between $50M- $400M
• Strong Financial & Operations background & heavily engaged at this level, driving EBITDA through KPI/dashboards at an operational and clinical level
• Technologically savvy with previous system implementation experience
• Willingness to roll up sleeves
• Revenue cycle management (RCM) experience
• Previous M&A experience
• Strong cashflow management, with previous experience working in a leveraged environment
• Ability to report and communicate with board and lenders
• In addition to performing the day-to-day CFO responsibilities, including team leadership, the candidate will have the desire to mentor/advise a potential first-time CFO
• Ability to report and communicate with board and lenders
• Good judgment / EQ
Preferred Criteria:
• Worked with Founder-led/Physician-led business – Maintained strong relations with physicians.
• Previously led a PMS conversion
