Milwaukee Public Schools is looking for a skilled, culturally responsive, collaborative, and innovative technology education teacher at the high school level. This technology education teacher position will support an automotive pathway. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide high quality instruction in related coursework is highly preferred. Candidates should be committed to supporting a strong and rigorous curriculum focused on preparing students for college and/or relevant careers.
The candidate must provide instruction for regular and special education students that is appropriate to their educational needs and development levels. All instruction will be offered in an equitable, multi-cultural setting that teaches all children to think deeply, critically, and creatively. The selected candidate's work will support the MPS strategic plan.
Automotive industry professionals are highly encouraged to apply. While a Technology Education License #1220 is preferred, consideration will be given to those candidates with a proven background in automotive technology/maintenance, specifically auto body, and who are committed to obtaining the license within a year through an alternative method. The MPS district will assist interested candidates with appropriate work experience and relevant training/education in the attainment of an experience-based license for technical and vocational education subjects. Qualifications
Applicants must be licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to teach this specific grade level and / or content area.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The teacher salary range starts at $52,827.70 and increases according to the set salary schedule based on education beyond the required bachelor's degree and previous years of fully-licensed K-12 teaching experience.
