The Title 1 funded Math Specialist is responsible for providing instructional support under direct collaboration with a teacher to supplement basic instructional requirements. The incumbent works to form close working relationships with students receiving interventions and their legal guardians to educate and inform. The incumbent is expected to work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program, that parents have a central point of contact, and that tasks are distributed appropriately among the stakeholders.

This position offers a base salary around $60,000.

This is a full-time REMOTE position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
• Provides instructional support under the direct collaboration of a teacher to supplement the basic instructional requirements.
• Attends and participates in PLCs, DDI meetings, RTI Committee Meetings, and curriculum planning meetings to share student data, observations, and suggestions for Synchronous and Asynchronous instruction as it relates to meeting demonstrated student needs.
• Works to form close working relationships with students receiving interventions and their legal guardians to educate and inform.
• Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for parents and students
• Commitment to personalizing learning for all students
• Demonstrates a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations
• Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery
• Understands that a primary responsibility is to establish and maintain positive rapport with families and regularly communicates with and responds to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner
• Supports learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues, as well as basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment that is in line with academy policies and procedures
Relationship Building
• Establishes and maintains positive rapport with families and regularly communicates with students and learning coaches/parents;
• Elementary, Middle, and High School Teachers support learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues in a virtual classroom environment that is in line with academy policies and procedures;
• Supports students and learning coaches with the set-up and maintenance of their learning environment including basic computer troubleshooting;
• Understands how both diverse and unique characteristics of students and their families impact required support;
• Works collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program, that parents have a central point of contact, and that tasks are distributed among the stakeholders;
• Responds to students, parents, and colleagues in timely manner;
Other Essential Functions
• Contributes to planning social and educational activities for students and families, including sponsorship of virtual clubs, outings, marketing events or other extracurricular activities as required;

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
• Ability to travel 20% of the time as
