Main areas of responsibility:
· Assist the Head of Reserving Systems with the continuous evolution of Reserving and Financial Reporting systems as the company grows
· Assist the Head of Reserving Systems with the continuous evolution of Reserving and Financial Reporting systems as the company grows
· Liaise with the financial reporting team, Information Technology, and other members of the reserving team as needed to complete tasks.
Skills/knowledge needed:
o SQL programming
o data management experience
o basic understanding of reinsurance
o basic understanding of actuarial reserving
Minimum Qualifications:
· 9+ years of SQL programming experience
· Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge/experience working in the insurance or reinsurance industry
· Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance financial reporting, as well as the principles of reserving.
· Strong mathematical skills
· Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
· Self-motivated with superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with property and casualty insurance
· Experience with MS Reporting Services
Education:
B.A / B.S degree or related experience – Math or Actuarial Degree preferred
