Position Overview:

Premier NA Events Company, Play!TCG, focuses on integrated marketing experiences across the Trading Card Game Ecosystem. Play!TCG leads Organized Play for popular games like One Piece, Digimon, Dragon Ball Super, Battle Spirits Saga, Union Arena, and more.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of this role will be handling the reconciliation of profit and loss (P&L) statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Profit & Loss Statement Reconciliation:
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of P&L statements.
• Analyze and verify the accuracy of financial data and statements.
• Identify discrepancies or irregularities in P&L accounts and work with relevant departments to resolve them.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to profit and loss.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all relevant financial data is accurately reflected.
• Assist in variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights into trends and performance.
• General Accounting Duties:
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with general ledger account reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Continuously update accounting policies and procedures related to P&L reconciliation.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles (internship experience considered).
• Experience with profit and loss statement reconciliation is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Certifications:
• CPA or progress towards certification is a plus but not required.
