Positions: 1 Total Experience: 3 – 5 years Our Client, an institutional, agency-model broker, is seeking an Trading System Support Location :New York, NY/ Hybrid Job Responsibilities: As a trading system support specialist, you will be primarily focused on supporting the Company’s trading systems environments. The applicant must be highly motivated, able to work on their own initiative, and have excellent attention to detail while working in a high-pressure environment. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients. Problem ownership, from incident to resolution. Providing support of trading algorithm strategies, handling queries of both a technical and a product nature. Implementation and in-depth support of Exchange connectivity and market data feeds/protocols. Support of low latency high frequency co-located trading environments (FPGA), with specialized focus on FIX-to native and native-to-native solutions. Diagnosing issues related to low latency market data publishers. In depth product / system knowledge and thorough investigation, case capture and analysis prior to triage development escalation. Identify parameters that would affect the behavior of an order. Ability to follow the workflow of an order. Working closely with development, business and key stake holders to deploy upgrades and enhancements into test/production environments. System checks, proactive alert monitoring Support of Company’s bespoke systems including its OMS, SOR, market data and exchange connectivity Support of FPGA trading environments Project deployment Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required: Understanding of equities, symbology and order flow Very strong analytical/logic skills required Understanding of FPGA based trading systems In-depth Fix 4.0-4.4 raw message knowledge essential Exposure to Jira software Exposure to revision control software Technical strengths would include the ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of Unix/Linux, as well as the proficient use of a scripting language and preferably demonstrable competence in at least one dynamic programming language e.g. Perl or Python Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX. Comfortable looking at logs. Attentive to detail Team player- must be willing to learn from and teach others. Ability to communicate to your audience, both written and verbal Ability to work well under pressure with a true sense of urgency Excellent writing skills- should be able to recognize when documentation is necessary and write it clearly for others to be able to follow.
