Position Overview
A Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating detailed designs for mechanical systems and components. The candidate will use their expertise in BOM management, mechanical design principles, and CAD software to design and develop innovative solutions for various projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Inventor and possess strong design engineering skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and develop detailed designs for mechanical systems and components using CAD software, primarily Inventor.
• Prepare and maintain accurate BOMs for all designed components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and are within budget constraints.
• Perform design calculations and analysis to ensure functionality and structural integrity of designs.
• Conduct testing and validation of prototypes to ensure designs meet quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot any design issues and provide solutions to ensure project success.
• Maintain and update design documentation and files according to company standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical design technology.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Inventor.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
