This is a remote, full-time position, ideally suited for candidates based in the Central or Eastern time zones of the US. How We Work

We embrace a remote-first approach, with all our staff working remotely. Our main office is in London, UK, and we come together a few times a year for face-to-face meetings. We value flexibility and have core working hours from 9am to 12 noon EST.

Your New Role

We are seeking an Academic Institutional Sales Manager to join our expanding global team. In this customer-facing role, you will handle a variety of institutional sales and lead generation activities. You will develop and implement sales strategies, generate and manage leads, deliver sales presentations and demonstrations, and tailor proposals and contracts to meet client needs. Collaboration with our marketing team to create effective sales collateral will also be key.

What You'll Be Doing
• Collaborate with the Institutional Sales Director to develop and execute a sales strategy for your region, focusing on the academic and higher education markets.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and leads to expand the pipeline.
• Qualify and follow up on institutional leads from various sources (website, events, etc.).
• Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations to close deals.
• Create and deliver proposals.
• Handle negotiations and objections throughout the sales process.
• Prepare contracts and necessary documentation for finalization.
• Maintain up-to-date records and CRM details.
• Provide regular sales updates to the commercial team and attend weekly sales meetings.
• Work with internal teams to achieve results and share customer feedback.
• Represent the organization at conferences and events, including delivering speaking sessions as needed.

What You'll Bring To The Role
• Self-motivated with strong independent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Experience in SaaS or solutions-based sales in the academic and higher education sectors is preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Knowledgeable in lead generation, pipeline management, and managing opportunities from prospecting to closure.
• Ability to build and manage complex customer relationships.
• Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong curiosity to understand customer needs and deliver the right solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, agile environment.
• Natural relationship-building skills with both customers and colleagues.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills.
• Based in the US and available for full-time work during core business hours (9am to 12 noon EST).
