• Leading system software design and architecture decisions to create a scalable, optimized, reusable, and secure data streaming platform for medical devices.
• Defining and implementing industry-standard best practices to design, develop, code, test, and debug front-end and mobile software applications.
• Building new technology that enables the company to grow efficiently and quickly with an intense focus on customer needs.
• Working in all stages of technology development – from early R&D through commercialization. Platform development, application development, and applied research are all in scope.
• Collaborating effectively within the Corporate Research Labs, across business groups and functions, and with external partners to create solutions that positively impact patient and clinician experiences.
Your Skills And Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 8 years of combined experience in front-end or mobile software development OR High School Diploma/GED from AND 12 years of combined experience in front-end or mobile software development
• Deep expertise in Javascript and TypeScript
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Knowledge of network protocols including HTTP and WebSockets
• The ability to diagnose performance problems and faults in a modern web application
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering from an accredited institution
• Expertise in React and its ecosystem, including state management libraries (e.g. MobX)
• An understanding of the Document Object Model
• And understanding of what factors govern the performance of a network-connected UI
• Familiarity with mobile development (iOS or Android) and React Native
• Knowledge of Bluetooth or NFC (Web Bluetooth/NFC or native iOS/Android APIs)
• Experience working with GraphQL and/or RPC-style APIs
• Hands-on experience working directly with users to develop and adapt a UI to their needs
• Strong communication and writing skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Curiosity about the healthcare business, and how we can innovate to serve our users, particularly clinicians and patients
• Experience in Healthcare industry or other regulated industry
Work location:
• Hybrid Eligible: Maplewood, MN OR Pittsburgh, PA at least 3 days per week
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
