The Opportunity:

As the business development lead, the successful candidate will work closely with the Canadian Family Offices executive team to help commercialize our rapidly growing news and information platform. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue through sales of our membership packages to B2B and B2C corporate clientele while identifying incremental revenue opportunities through corporate sponsorship of events and a variety of other brand extensions. The successful Business Development Executive will establish long-term relationships with our corporate partners by providing exceptional levels of client service underpinned by demonstrable commercial value.

What you'll do:

• Following our sales processes, identify and prospect clients across a variety of industries (including but not exclusive to: Banking, Wealth/Asset Management, Legal, Consulting, Real Estate, Technology, Accounting/Tax)

• Ensure successful follow-through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application

• Establish relationships with industry associations and represent Canadian Family Offices at industry events to establish new partnerships and commercial opportunities

• Assist the client service team with the onboarding of new clients

• Maintain strong relationships with clients and assist with all renewals and identify upsell opportunities

• Analyze and present media/campaign performance metrics with clients

Who you are:

• Experience representing and selling media to agency and client-direct prospects and/or experience within the financial sector with a marketing or communications background

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (proficiency in French a definite asset)

• Knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as they relate to digital media, content marketing, social media and advertising, with the ability to contextualize for our prospective clients

• Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner and customer teams

• Ability and discipline to prospect, identify and close new revenue opportunities in a remote work environment
