Job Description:
Join Comsat Architects to bring the future of space communications and exploration to Northeast Ohio. For our NASA software projects, we are seeking a software developer to join our application development team. This is a client-facing position that requires excellent communication skills as we are working directly with NASA in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of development within time constraints. In collaboration with the rest of the team, you will have a prominent role in contributing to our full-stack applications.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain the AWS cloud environments hosting our full-stack applications
• Collaborate with other developers to develop, test, and deploy applications
• Support database maintenance and data ingestion activities
• Interface with stakeholders to derive software requirements
• Grow your skills to better yourself and the services Comsat Architects provides
Qualifications:
• Must be a US citizen or US permanent resident
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in software development
• Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience working with of SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL)
• Experience interfacing with RESTful/GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular
• Familiar with Agile methodology
• Highly attentive to details and accuracy
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a team
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience using Terraform and/or Ansible to manage AWS environments
• Experience in DevOps utilizing tools such as Docker
• Experience with Python scripting
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ECMAScript 2017+) and/or TypeScript
• Experience writing software tests and verifications
