We are looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA to join our team! As a SQL Server DBA you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems for multiple environments that include office and developers’ infrastructure as well as customer’s systems both on premises and in the cloud.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Performance tuning of database systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
Work closely with Customer Support team: Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time; Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes; Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours; Be available for on-call support as needed.
- Recommend and implement emerging database technologies
- Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
- Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Requirements:
· Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
· Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
· Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
· PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
· Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
· Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
· Develop processes for optimizing database security.
· 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
· 5 years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
· 5 years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
· Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
· 5 years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
