As Senior Software Developer, iOS in the Virtual Interlining team, you will be directly responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying greenfield services and architecture that will power Hopper’s efforts to provide cutting-edge synthetic flight inventory to our customers. Virtual Interlining is the process of generating trips using combinations of airlines that do not codeshare or have any standing business relationship. These virtually interlined trips are a completely unique inventory that provide incredible price-competitiveness to our customers.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to feature implementation in our native iOS Android app (Swift/Objective-C)
• Collaborate with a team of talented developers to develop innovative solutions to challenging, impactful technical problems
• Quickly prototype new ideas and run experiments to identify features that users love
• Help evolve our mobile architecture to consistently improve development efficiency
• Influence the technical and strategic direction of the product
Minimum Qualifications
• 4+ years professional experience in native mobile development
• Thorough understanding of the iOS mobile platform and Swift language
• A passion for building engaging user experiences
• A proven track record of building prototypes and taking a data approach to product development, testing and measuring new insights very quickly
• A passionate focus on quality, writing testable code that performs well for our users
• A desire to help our team continuously improve
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with declarative UI frameworks
• Addressed compile-time/build performance issues
• Knowledge about the Clean Architecture principles
