Your Role:
• Lead, hire, develop, and manage a team of chemists and laboratory scientists.
• Oversees the analysis and release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to determine their chemical and physical properties.
• Delivers QC operational performance. Ensure QC capacity and capability is in place to meet demand, ensuring all vital testing is carried out.
• Provides analytical knowledge and support to the Quality Control team for troubleshooting issues, complex situations and oversees the delivery of initial and ongoing training and mentoring.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
• Leads and directs the introduction of new technology, coordinates and leads initiative to ensure that Quality Control remains contemporary and driven.
• Is accountable for ensuring safety and compliance is understood and maintained across the QC labs.
• Uses knowledge to support regulatory inspections and client audits.
• Manages laboratory equipment, supplies, and maintenance activities.
• Provides technical expertise and guidance on analytical methodologies and instrumentation.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Life Science discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in a quality control or analytical laboratory setting.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with analytical techniques, such as UPLC/HPLC, GC, titrations, and spectroscopy.
• Masters Degree in Chemistry.
• 9+ years of experience in a quality control or analytical laboratory setting.
• Experience with Product Quality, Quality Control Lab Operation and Regulatory requirements, including FDA, cGMP, and ICH guidelines.
