Overview: As a Certified Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in patient care. Responsibilities:
• Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter products, verifying medication orders, dosage instructions, and patient information to ensure safe and appropriate use.
• Medication Counseling: Provide medication counseling to patients, including information on drug indications, dosages, administration instructions, side effects, and potential drug interactions, promoting medication adherence and patient safety.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on the proper use of medications, including potential side effects, precautions, and storage requirements, empowering them to take an active role in managing their health.
• Medication Therapy Management: Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy for patients, conducting medication therapy reviews, monitoring therapeutic outcomes, and recommending adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
• Drug Information: Serve as a drug information resource for patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, answering questions about drug therapy, medication safety, and pharmaceutical products.
• Clinical Services: Provide clinical pharmacy services, such as medication reconciliation, immunizations, and anticoagulation management, to enhance patient care and improve medication outcomes.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement activities, including medication error reporting, adverse drug event monitoring, and pharmacy quality assurance programs, to promote patient safety and minimize risks.
• Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate levels of medications and supplies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice, maintaining accurate records and documentation of pharmacy operations.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships to enhance the patient experience.

Requirements:
• Certification: Current certification as a pharmacist from a recognized certifying body, such as the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) or the National Certification Board for Pharmacists (NCBP).
• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
• Licensure: Current licensure as a pharmacist in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Clinical Skills: Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in pharmaceutical therapeutics, pharmacology, and pharmacy practice guidelines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients and healthcare providers.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and documentation.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze medication-related issues and develop effective solutions.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ethical Conduct: Adherence to ethical principles and professional standards of conduct in all aspects of pharmacy practice, including patient confidentiality and privacy.
