Job Description:
Pay Range $35.77hr - $40.77hr
Responsibilities:
• The Biologist will support the validation of Client therapeutic candidates by performing hands-on, bench-level assays involving both cell culture and tissue-based work, and as well as sample processing and analyses from in vivo animal studies. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as have a shared passion for delivering new therapies to patients with critical unmet medical needs.
• Support cell culture platform work including iPSC-derived cells.
• Perform molecular biology and cell biology assays including DNA/RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, ELISA.
• Help manage in vivo studies conducted with CROs, and with academic collaborators, including shipment coordination and sample inventory management.
• Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, write study reports, and present data to the team.
• Critically assess data generated from diverse experimental approaches in cell and molecular biology.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree with 1+ years of work experience in academia or industry.
• Experience in generating and working with iPSC-derived cells, disease models strongly desired.
• Expertise in basic techniques in molecular biology and cell biology, assay development in cell lines, primary neurons, and iPSC-derived cells.
• Good understanding and experience working with AAVs is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Ability to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative scientific environment.
• Neuroscience background is preferred, but not required.
