We are a small church seeking a talented and experienced designer with strong Squarespace design and coding experience to join our team. This designer would work on a project by project basis as needed, but in-essence be our "inhouse designer" for multiple projects and website updates/changes, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a Christian background, strong understanding of Squarespace and its capabilities, and be able to design and code visually appealing and functional website content. The main responsibilities will include creating project visuals (ex. Presentation slide for Party in the Park event), custom layouts, and optimizing websites for search engines. The successful candidate must be open to working on short notice if necessary and have a keen eye for detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members is also essential.
In essence, we'd like to have you become our website design go-to person and "in-house" designer for projects as needed. Mainly providing design concepts for event pieces, logos, etc. We have an inhouse person who is able to use design elements to create content in Canva, so this person would provide the design elements.
I'm guessing we'd have roughly 2-3 projects per month.
Skills required:
- Proficiency in Squarespace
- Comfortable and familiar with the American Christian Bible Church
- HTML/CSS
- Graphic design
- UX/UI design
- SEO optimization
We would pay project-by-project and/or an hourly rate depending on the task. Open to discussion.
