Our client is expanding their services offered at their Newark site to accommodate environmental testing.. You would be preforming various analytical tests- ICAP, GC-MSD, GC-FID, and EPA test methods. You would also be revising/updating current SOPs and training the current staff on the tests.
• Operate Sophisticated Laboratory Equipment
• Conducting various analytical environmental test samples
• Review and update current SOPS and assist with developing new protocols as needed
• Train new/current staff on environmental testing samples
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Holding of a bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry or any environmental science related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working in an environmental commercial laboratory or analytical environment
• Experience in the operations of laboratory equipment such as:
A. ICAP-Mass Spectrometer ( Low
level metal analysis for aqueous, sludge and soil samples).
B. GC-MSD (Testing for Volatile and Semi-Volatile organics ) for
aqueous, sludge and soil samples
C. GC-FID ( Testing for TPH (d), TPH(mo) & TPH(d)) for aqueous,
sludge and soil samples.
• Experience and knowledge of the following EPA Test Methods:
A. EPA 8270 (semi-volatiles for aqueous, sludges and soil)
B. EPA 8260 (Volatiles for sludges and soil)
C. EPA 6010B CAM 17 Metals
D. EPA 200.8 Metals
E. EPA 8082 for aqueous, sludge and soil)
F. EPA 8015 (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons) TPH
G. EPA 1664A oil & Grease
