This remote role involves guiding learners as they prepare to test out of traditional college chemistry courses, providing support and motivation throughout their educational journey.
What You’ll Do
• Deliver engaging and clear chemistry lessons to facilitate understanding.
• Inspire and motivate learners to reach their academic goals.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and team members, participating in meetings and sharing insights.
• Monitor student progress and provide valuable feedback to the eLearning team.
• Offer one-on-one tutoring to address individual student needs.
• Perform additional eLearning-related tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For
• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related Science field.
• Solid knowledge of atomic and periodic trends, nuclear chemistry, chemical reactions, thermodynamics, equilibrium, compounds, and molecules.
• At least three years of experience teaching Chemistry, with a minimum of one year of virtual teaching experience.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, Zoom, Google Docs, Google Slides, and other eLearning tools.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
• Excellent skills in engaging and motivating an online audience.
• A reliable internet connection, a functional computer, and a noise-canceling headset.
• Professionalism, dependability, and a commitment to following eLearning best practices.
Work Schedule
• Flexible schedule with a commitment of under 20 hours per week.
• Availability to teach classes on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
• Must have at least a 4-hour overlap with the 9 am - 5 pm EST workday.
Additional Information
• Fluent English language skills are required, both written and verbal.
