The DevOps Engineer primarily focuses on maintaining and improving our build pipelines, generating installers, and building automated testing infrastructure. Additionally, when DevOps tasks are minimal, they will contribute to software development projects. This position requires a strong foundation in both development and DevOps practices.
DevOps Engineer / Developer Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure efficient and reliable build processes for various environments (development, testing, production).
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools for generating installers for various platforms (Windows, Linux).
• Ensure installers are tested and validated for consistency and reliability.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing.
• Monitor and maintain the health of the automated testing infrastructure.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new code and features into the build and deployment pipelines.
• Provide support for build-related issues and assist in troubleshooting.
• Participate in software development projects when DevOps tasks are minimal.
• Contribute to code reviews, debugging, and feature development.
• Document build processes, CI/CD configurations, and automated testing setups.
DevOps Engineer / Developer Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in DevOps, build automation, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Strong technical skills, proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, bash, YAML) and experience with software development principles and best practices.
• Understanding of automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
