Product Manager for new SaaS startup

Role Overview:

We are building a referral partner and commission management SaaS platform. As a US based pre-seed company we already have some revenue as well as some funding. As the Principal Product Manager, you will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our SaaS platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and business development, to build a product that meets market needs and drives business growth. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and is passionate about building products from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

-Product Vision & Strategy: Define and articulate the product vision and strategy, aligning it with the company’s goals and market opportunities.

-Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer needs, market research, and business objectives.

-Customer Insights: Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and identify key problems to solve, ensuring the product delivers maximum value.

-Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to drive the development and launch of new features and ensure timely delivery.

-Data-driven Decisions: Use data and metrics to drive product decisions and measure the success of product initiatives, iterating as necessary to optimize user experiences.

-Go-to-Market: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure the successful launch of the product and future iterations.

-Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitive products, and industry best practices to keep the product competitive and ahead of market needs.

-Scale the Product: Build scalable systems and processes that can handle increasing demand and help the product evolve with the business.

Qualifications:

-Proven Experience: 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role building SaaS products from the ground up.

-Startup Experience: A track record of success in startup environments, particularly in building and scaling products.

-Affiliate/Partnership Knowledge: Strong understanding of affiliate marketing, partnerships, or related ecosystems that drive revenue growth through sales-led programs is a big plus.

-Technical Understanding: Strong collaboration with engineering teams and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, especially in SaaS.

-Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive product decisions.

-Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
