National Associate Financial Consultant (NAFC) - Plan Event Team

The National Associate Financial Consultants (NAFC) on the Plan Event Team will be instrumental in helping TIAA capitalize on Plan level events (PLE) such as sole record keeping wins, vendor consolidations and retirement plan implementations. NAFCs will provide in person and virtual counseling to TIAA participants, new entrants, prospects, beneficiaries and their legal and financial representatives on the complete spectrum of TIAA products and services. This job covers institutions across the US and will focus on Institutions undergoing a plan level event. NAFCs will meet with client in person, phone and video. NAFC’s will lead with advice with the goal of helping our clients to take actions that will enhance their financial wellness. NAFC’s will be responsible for virtual and in-person presentations focusing on Institutions undergoing a plan level event but also assisting with global webinars.

During your initial period of employment, you will receive training on TIAA's products and the role will be non-exempt – meaning you will be paid on an hourly basis and eligible for overtime pay. After the training period has concluded, the role will be exempt and you will be paid on a salaried basis at the same rate (i.e., your weekly salary will be equal to your hourly rate multiplied by 40) and you will no longer be eligible for overtime pay. All licenses must be obtained within 120 days from start date.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Provides best-in-class participant experiences by delivering point in time retirement planning & advice.
• Counsels' participants on their pension plans, tax deferred annuities and other available investment options in order to help clients retain and increase assets.
• Educates, recommends and facilitates new product purchases (including retail mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529, 403b, bank products and others) and provides authoritative information upon which important personal financial planning decisions are based.
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and execute transaction and service requests.
• Utilizes knowledge of tax and investment strategies to inform financial advice based on clients' financial needs and objectives.
• Communicates internally with cross-business partnerships to develop and implement TIAA products and services to support clients and company initiatives.
• Work seamlessly with local Financial Consultants, plan sponsors, RMs and FCDs to engage a broader subset of plan participants around Plan Level Events.
• Delivery of financial educational and plan change webinars and in person presentations.
• 50% - 75% travel required .

Educational Requirements
• University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience
• 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations
• SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63

Licenses and Certifications
• Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers required within 120 Days

Physical Requirements

Base Pay Range: $55,800/yr. - $79,400/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
