PLANNING ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE.
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Rate: $31 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Planning Account Executive will manage day-to-day operations and executions, working on relevant, best-in-class, and unique content across the company's international social platforms that bring our brand and guest experience to life. Candidates must have a strong creative acumen and business skills, as well as knowledge of the social media and influencer space.
The Planning team is known for its strong foundation of governance layers, setting best practice foundations of workflow management that the entire Social Team follows. Candidates should be extremely detail-oriented with a passion for setting up processes that enable creativity to flourish.
The Planning Account Executive will work closely with an in-house team of planners, copywriters, editors, producers, content creators, and other internal teams such as PR, Web, Loyalty, and Brand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage project timelines and expectations, communicating details and updates across key stakeholders and teams using various planning and project management tools within the Social Team infrastructure (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, Brandwatch).
• Lead day-to-day organization and build-out of monthly content calendars in Trello while establishing weekly posting schedules and times across key social channels.
• Oversee daily operations of select social channel UGC sharing, content sourcing, and community engagement activity.
• Attend relevant meetings and brainstorming sessions (Social and beyond) and proactively compile notes indicating key points and clear next steps for the Social Team.
• Handle assigned internal projects from briefing to resourcing to final execution, with a thorough understanding of processes and the time required to complete each stage. Communicate progress and challenges in a timely and succinct manner.
• Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting deliverables for key markets to track progress toward hitting and surpassing end-of-year social goals.
• Ensure the agenda for weekly status meetings is prepared, sharing presentation responsibility with the head of Planning.
• Understand how each assignment aligns with the brand, why an idea is right, and the context surrounding that idea.
• Creatively manage and deliver a quality product on time, on strategy, and on budget.
• Understand the roles of other social media functions (Social Partnerships and Activations, Creative, and Strategy) and connect the dots considering timelines and deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or relevant experience.
• 2-3 years of professional experience as an Account Coordinator, Account Executive, or related role in advertising or marketing.
• Superior attention to detail and strong organization, time management, and communication skills, both written and verbal, that set standards for others to follow.
• A strong sense of urgency and commitment to complete tasks quickly without compromising quality.
• Experience working with organic or paid social campaigns and platforms, with a solid understanding of the social media landscape, KPIs, and metrics.
• Ability to develop detailed plans, assist in team meetings, identify and resolve issues, and manage risk.
• Ability to build relationships and gain trust with people at all levels of the organization; a positive outlook and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow direction from senior team members and build upon creative ideas when needed.
• A creative, innovative personality that thinks outside of the box.
• Understanding of the travel industry and business; experience in cruise, travel, or hospitality is preferred.
• Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
• Additional languages are a plus.
