Special Education Teacher
Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Melrose Park, IL
Type: Full-Time
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Bill Rate: $45-$55 per hour
About the Role:
A local school is seeking a skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 academic year. This role involves working with elementary school students with special needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, testing, and developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and testing to evaluate student needs and progress.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in academics.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to support students in meeting their IEP goals.
Qualifications:
• Experience in special education, particularly with elementary and middle school students.
• Proven ability to conduct assessments, create IEPs, and provide effective instruction.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and educational staff.
• State certification in Special Education
